Policies & Frequently Asked Questions
OUR COVID & SICK POLICY:
• Please wait 5 days from the last day of symptoms before coming to dance if you have been sick or been around anyone who has been sick. Thank you for helping to keep our dance community safer.
Where are you located?
322 S. Main St., -2nd floor- Downtown Rochester
Between 3rd & 4th street. On the East side of the street.
We are on the 2nd floor above Hepplewhite's, next to O'Connors.
We do NOT have an entrance directly on Main St.
Our parking & entrance is around in the back of the building.
Look for a black & white striped awning, that's our entrance. Get ready to have fun!
The Intro Package & Getting Started:
The Intro Package pricing (and most of our package pricing) is good for one person or for a couple. That is the total price (not a per person price). You can easily buy your Intro Package online here at our Online Store, and then simply call us when you are ready to schedule in your first lesson. We do not have a way to book lesson appointments online. As a reminder, all lesson packages expire at 6 months from the date of purchase.
Dress Attire:
Casual and comfortable attire is suggested for your private lessons and groups. Clothes that you can move easily in is always the best option for dancing. Students tend to dress up a little, such as business casual, for the parties.
Shoes:
In order to keep our dance floor in optimal condition (and to give you the best dancing experience) it is required that you bring a clean pair of shoes to change into while you are here at the studio. Shoes worn in from off the street will not be allowed on the floor. We recommend suede sole dance shoes to give you the best dancing experience. They will give you just the right amount of grip & slip. If dance shoes are not an option, no worries! Any dressy type shoe with a leather sole bottom will work too. Yes ladies, Flats are great! Please refrain from stilettos, flip flops and tennis shoes. All shoes must be clean, dry, and should provide you stability. This will help ensure a safe, smooth and enjoyable dance across our high quality, professional dance floor. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation of this policy.

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to all scheduled lessons, in order to change shoes & fill out any paperwork.
Private Lessons are 45 minutes.
Group Lessons by themselves are usually 45 minutes.
Group Lessons that are attached to the Parties are 30 minutes.
Workshops are typically 1 Hour.
DO I NEED A PARTNER? No partner-no problem!
Any and all lessons can be done solo, and you'll learn so fast that way! We rotate dancers in our group classes and our friendly, social dancers dance with everyone at the parties. Not comfortable rotating partners just yet, that's ok too! We make it fun for everyone, with our flexible, professional and easy going atmosphere.
What are the Group/Party Punch Cards?
Our price for a One-Time class for Groups & Parties is usually $15 per person. But with the Group/Party Punch Card, you get a discount on your Groups & Parties, as it includes 10 admissions for $120. Good towards any of our regular weekly Group Lessons and Dance Parties. The Group/Party Punch Card can be shared with your friends, family, kids, whoever! Enjoy! (Our Fitness Punch Cards also work the same way, but the One-Time rate is $12 per class, or the punch card is 10 admissions for $100.)
Private Lessons vs. Group Lessons:
If you have any goal in mind, such as for a wedding or event, or if you personally want to get the most for your money, and increase your level of dancing at a faster pace, then Private Lessons are the way to go, hands down. Group Lessons are designed to be an added bonus to use alongside your private instruction. Group Lessons basically give a general overview of different dances, are not customized to your specific dancing and movement and they go at the pace of everyone in the class. Private lessons are customized to you, for you & what you have in mind, and are available for your convenience 7 days a week.
Please note that Private Lessons do not necessarily mean you have the entire studio to yourself (however, that can be arranged). Private Lessons are one-on-one with your instructor, and other students might also be on the floor taking their lessons with their own instructor. Group Lessons are lessons with one instructor dividing their time & attention to several other couples as well.
Open to the public, what does that mean?
We pride ourselves on being an open dance studio. That simply means that you do not have to be a "member" in order to enjoy all the fun and incredible events we host here on a regular basis! Come one, come all! You are welcome to attend anything we offer! Bring your friends and enjoy a professional and exciting dance atmosphere!
